SiRF employees are eligible for comprehensive medical insurance through their choice of a Blue Cross HMO or PPO; Kaiser is also available to our California residents. We offer comprehensive dental coverage through Genworth (GE) Financial, and comprehensive vision coverage through Vision Service Plan (VSP)—the nation's largest provider of eye care coverage.
We offer a Flexible Spending Account through Conexis for medical premium co-payments, dependent care, and other medical expenses, and pay for Short and Long Term Disability through Genworth Financial. Our life and AD&D Insurance cover annual salary times two. (We also offer optional Voluntary Life Insurance.)
SiRF employees can also take advantage of several financial benefits. We offer a 401(k) plan through Pension Specialists. Our Profit Sharing Plan rewards employees for acting like owners and doing their jobs with an eye toward growing the company. Employees may also choose to participate in our Employee Stock Purchase Plan, which lets them purchase SiRF stock at a 15% discount; enrollment & purchases occur twice annually.
Full time employees earn fifteen (15) days of Paid Time Off their first year for vacation, sick days, or other personal reasons; that number increases as they add more years of active service. They also receive 10 paid holidays. Between December 25 and January 1 each year, SiRF is on Holiday Shutdown. To reward those who have worked so hard for SiRF, employees are given five full weeks of Paid Time Off after 5 years of full-time service.
Other benefits include a maximum reimbursement of $30 per month for health club membership fees; an award for each regular, full time employee referred by another employee; and up to $5,000 per calendar year in school expenses for qualified courses, once employees have completed 6 months of active employment.
